An eclectic mix of excellent comedic shorts that run the gamut from sweetly poignant to absolutely absurd. This screening features the kooky, the cringe, the cute, and Chris Parnell (although probably not in person). EFF25 Opening Night Reception

9:00pm on Thursday, May 1st at Abandoned Building Brewery

Drop by (or stick around) after the screening to celebrate the fourth annual Easthampton Film Festival from 9-10:30pm! ABB has agreed to keep the bar open late for us, and light refreshments will be served.

Tallywacker

7:00pm on Friday, May 2nd at E-Media

Tallywacker by Brendan Boogie (1:30:00) *

This award-winning, locally-made rock and roll buddy comedy follows two bandmates (Jeremy Dubbs, Chris Goodwin) whose relationship is tested when one of them gets a taste of fame while touring with a major rock star. The screening will be followed by an audience talkback with the film's stars and co-producers Jeremy and Chris. Seating is limited!

Tallywacker (the film's titular band) and other special musical guests will play live at the Jupiter Club after the screening; admission to that event is sold separately.

Festival Party: Tallywacker and special guests play LIVE

8pm on Friday, May 2nd at the Jupiter Club - Doors at 8pm, Music at 9:30pm

Tallywacker (Jeremy Dubbs and Chris Goodwin) and other special musical guests play live at the Jupiter Club to celebrate their upcoming tour, the release of their eponymous local feature film, and the fourth season of EFF. This will be a great show - be sure not to miss it! Doors open at 8pm, music at 9:45.

Documentaries

1pm on Saturday, May 3rd at CitySpace

Join us for three remarkable documentaries including EACH, which takes us inside Springfield's first-of-its-kind second-chance program for convicted teens ("Emerging Adult Court of Hope"). The film was directed by Tristan Smith, a graduate of both Northampton High School and UMass Amherst, who will attend the screening with other attending filmmakers for a talkback. This screening will include the following films:

It’s Complicated: Shorts

How do you categorize a film that doesn't fit neatly into a single genre? It's complicated. These four ambitious films take us around the country to tell affecting, complex stories that blur the lines between comedy and drama. Queer Stories

These seven funny, poignant, wonderful films vary widely, but they chime with one another in their heartfelt exploration of love, friendship, and family. The filmmakers of and the characters within these films take big swings (literally, in one case) and go for broke - they each wear their hearts on their sleeves in the most beautiful ways.
